The method I was using previously to hide the drivers was flawed. It
appeared to work but caused some very long delays during installation
and some extra delays during startup.

Later versions of Xen (3.4) include the required patch for hiding the
qemu drivers 'properly'.

So that answer is that they are listed but are disabled, and there is
not much we can do about it for now.
