I have a dual quad core server with 48G of dram. I notice that everything works fine up to domain #40, but subsequent domains don't start correctly - they consume inordinate amounts of cpu and you can't connect to their console. It's not the particular domain that's bad - I can kill a domain to get below the 40 threshold and then restart 'netbsd.002' (for example) and it will run ok. Any ideas? This is using netbsd as dom0. # xm listName ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 256 1 r----- 12374.6 dom1 45 256 1 - b---- 99.5 netbsd.000 63 256 1 - b---- 6.2 netbsd.001 113 256 1 r----- 216.5 <<<< BAD netbsd.002 114 256 1 r----- 100.5 <<<< BAD netbsd.012 69 256 1 - b---- 5.4 netbsd.025 65 256 1 - b---- 5.6 netbsd.050 64 256 1 - b---- 6.4 netbsd.060 70 256 1 - b---- 5.7 netbsd.075 66 256 1 - b---- 6.2 netbsd.076 79 256 1 - b---- 2.6 netbsd.077 80 256 1 - b---- 2.9 netbsd.078 81 256 1 - b---- 2.7 netbsd.079 82 256 1 - b---- 2.7 netbsd.080 83 256 1 - b---- 2.6 netbsd.081 84 256 1 - b---- 2.6 netbsd.082 85 256 1 - b---- 2.7 netbsd.083 86 256 1 - b---- 2.9 netbsd.084 87 256 1 - b---- 2.7 netbsd.085 88 256 1 - b---- 2.8 netbsd.086 89 256 1 - b---- 3.2 netbsd.087 90 256 1 - b---- 2.8 netbsd.088 91 256 1 - b---- 2.5 netbsd.089 92 256 1 - b---- 2.5 netbsd.090 93 256 1 - b---- 3.8 netbsd.091 94 256 1 - b---- 2.4 netbsd.092 95 256 1 - b---- 2.2 netbsd.093 96 256 1 - b---- 3.0 netbsd.094 97 256 1 - b---- 2.7 netbsd.095 98 256 1 - b---- 2.2 netbsd.096 99 256 1 - b---- 2.2 netbsd.097 100 256 1 - b---- 3.1 netbsd.100 67 256 1 - b---- 5.2 netbsd.110 68 256 1 - b---- 5.8 netbsd.111 71 256 1 - b---- 4.9 netbsd.112 72 256 1 - b---- 5.8 netbsd.113 73 256 1 - b---- 5.4 netbsd.114 74 256 1 - b---- 6.8 netbsd.115 75 256 1 - b---- 5.0 netbsd.116 76 256 1 - b---- 5.1 netbsd.117 77 256 1 - b---- 5.3 netbsd.118 78 256 1 - b---- 5.3 netbsd.119 62 256 1 - b---- 6.8 # # xm info host : release : 5.0version : NetBSD 5.0 (XEN3_DOM0) #0: Sun Apr 26 06:40:06 UTC 2009 builds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx:/home/builds/ab/netbsd-5-0- RELEASE/amd64/200904260229Z-obj/home/builds/ab/netbsd-5-0-RELEASE/src/ sys/arch/amd64/compile/XEN3_DOM0 machine : amd64 nr_cpus : 8 nr_nodes : 1 cores_per_socket : 4 threads_per_core : 1 cpu_mhz : 2713hw_caps : 178bf3ff:efd3fbff: 00000000:00000110:00802001:00000000:000037ff:00000000 virt_caps : hvm total_memory : 40959 free_memory : 29434 node_to_cpu : node0:0-7 node_to_memory : node0:29434 xen_major : 3 xen_minor : 3 xen_extra : .1xen_caps : xen-3.0-x86_64 xen-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_32 hvm-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_64 xen_scheduler : credit xen_pagesize : 4096 platform_params : virt_start=0xffff800000000000 xen_changeset : unavailablecc_compiler : gcc version 4.1.3 20080704 prerelease (NetBSD nb2 20081120) cc_compile_by : joe cc_compile_domain : cc_compile_date : Sat May 16 16:28:26 PDT 2009 xend_config_format : 4 Joe _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
