Assigning a different NIC to it resolves the problem. Sending traffic out and back into the
same machine seems to be fine. If you look at the Xen architecture it all makes sense. There
an amazing number of steps between each DomU that packets have to go through. There are fewer
between the DomU and an external switch. I've not rerun the test since 3.2 but have no reason
to believe things have changed.
