That may be "modern enough", depending on your needs. Xen 3.4 is also available, but you need to compile it first (which is MUCH harder than compiling Xen on Linux. With Linux dom0 I'd prefer to use RHEL/Centos5 and install Xen packages from http://www.gitco.de/repo/. That combination gives up-to-date Xen (3.4.1) as well as Redhat's well-maintained kernel-xen (which also contains backported drivers).
