Re: [Xen-users] Error with clvm

Hi,

This is a multipath lvm, so i use "testdisk /dev/mapper/vms" to try to recover it.
There is no partitionning on the disk only one big lvm2.
I can see this big lvm with Testdisk (structure correct). I can't record partitionning because there is no partitionning on this disk. So i think there is no problem with the data. But there is something somewhere that prevent me to access to the lvm2 (cluster metadata?) ...

But now, what can i do now to access all the logicals volumes i create on this big lvm ?
Thank you James,

Guy

If you get really desparate and don't mind sorting throught the wreckage.
testdisk might be your friend.

Hi again,

Do you think it's possible to restore some data from my VG.
I can't access it anymore. When i boot the host, it's stuck on
the error which i have describe.

If i move the volume on a another dom0, i can't access with lvm
because this is a clustered VG.
Is it possible to downgrade to a non cluster LVM, (remove cluster
metadata) without loosing data ?

Thank you.

Guy
