Yes,
we have excellent experiences with HPs iLo2 ("Advanced") - IBM and Sun have
very similiar solutions - as it saves us a lot of time and travelling over the
last years.

As that solutions are fully integrated within their servers they provide much
more then just a typical remote (serial and VGA) console, power/reset/ACPI
buttons and virtual media access - i.e. detailed hardware monitoring, detailed
protocols in a very fault tolerant manner which allows remote access even if
the machine is down or there is any hardware defect within you might have to
solve.

If you additionally have any on-site service plan, redundant equipment and (of
yourse) XEN as your hypervisor there usually is no urgent need to visit your
machines physically in the datacenter or a site whereever anymore as you have
"really" full access to your machines.

As HP iLo2 / IMPI is widely supported by newer Linux / Xen kernels you are able
to use/reach IPMI / ILo2 functionality from your dom0 too.

Cheers and good luck,

Niels.
