OK so here is my result:

Mainboad Supemicro X8DTT-F
http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DTT-F.cfm

CPU Xeon X5650

Debian 5.0 x64

Xen 4.0.1-rc4 x64

Kernels:
1) xenified 2.6.18.8 dom0 --- OK
2) xen + pv_ops 2.6.31.13 dom0 --- OK
3) xen + pv_ops 2.6.32.16 dom0 --- stops booting at "Write protecting
the kernel read-only data: 7224k"
4) pv_ops 2.6.32.16 same kernel as 3) --- baremetal boots OK
5) xen + pv_ops 2.6.32.16 dom0 in VMware VM on different machine --- OK
6) xen + 2.6.34 dom0 from brand new OpenSUSE 11.3 --- OK
7) 2.6.33.x pv_ops - compile errors

My motherborad has lastest BIOS, several tests done with different
BIOS and kernel configs.

So my conclusion is that there is something wrong in combination Xen
4.0.1-rc4 + 2.6.32.16 pv_ops + X8DTT-F

Since 2.6.32 pv_ops kernel should be "long term support" I would like
to use this one, but currently its not working for me.

If anybody has idea how to troubleshoot / make it working - please give me.

Peter
