Re: [Xen-users] Re: [Xen-devel] Requesting Assistance from Intel Engineers on Intel Integrated Graphics (IGD) VGA Passthrough for Xen 4.0.1-RELEASE and pv-ops dom0 kernel 2.6.32.x

I have also tried booting Xen 4.0.1 hypervisor and pv-ops dom0 kernel and then launch Windows XP HVM domU with-OUT VGA passthrough from within X Windowing Server (GNOME Desktop Environment). The guest operating system (WinXP HVM) in this case is perfectly stable and doesn't crash.

There could be stability issues with the Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough code in Xen 4.0.1. I have noticed that the screen/monitor tends to garbage out within 2 minutes after Windows XP HVM domU has booted up (with VGA passthrough enabled).

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Weidong,

I have given memory=2048 a try but Windows XP HVM domU still crashes within 2 minutes after booting up.

Intel integrated graphics (IGD) VGA passthrough with Xen 4.0.1 and pv-ops dom0 kernels 2.6.32.x may be a bit unstable.
