  • Thread-topic: ubuntu net install hangs

I'm trying to do a net install  of Ubuntu 10.04 server in a VM running on a CentOS 5.5 host.

The problem is the install hangs while it's installing the base system.  It doesn't always hang on the same package but it seems to always hang around 6% complete.  The installer seems to run fine up to that point, partitioning the drive, etc works fine.   xm list shows it as being in the blocked state.

Any help you can provide to trouble shoot this would be great.

The VMs setup is listed below.

# cat /etc/xen/fred1

kernel = "/boot/ubuntu/vmlinuz"

ramdisk = "/boot/ubuntu/initrd.gz"

name = "fred1"

memory = "2048"

vcpus=2

vif = ['']

disk = [ 'tap:aio:/var/lib/xen/images/fred.img,/dev/xvda,w' ]
