You can change the size and you can add other vdi's during creation of vm or after it. Actually not sure if you can alter the size of vdi after installation, but I wouldn't be surpriced if it is possible.

but is it possible to set the vdi size for a new VM before installation because it is 8G by default or do I have to resize it after installing the VM.
