We run our school computers by pxebooting off a single NFS server in
each school.  50 schools times 9 years in use gives 0 issues with
having users in more than 16 groups.  Few are in more than 2 groups.
:)  Running mail, web, moodle, etc servers won't have those issues.

But, yes, that can be an issue in some situations.
