xen_major : 3
xen_minor : 1
xen_extra : .2-229.el5

You are right. I am using Xen 3.1 + whatever patches RedHat / CentOS deemed
fit to include.

PS: I am using the Xen packages from RedHat 5.6 to allow me to run R2 under
CentOS 5.5.

Thanks,
AP
