  • Thread-topic: logging console output of DomU to a file

Is there an easy way to log the console output of PV DomU's to a file? I
just had the unpleasant experience of an xfs filesystem getting
completely corrupt but 'xm console' just showed xfs errors rather than
anything that might indicate the root cause.

I want something that can take the DomU console output, log it to a file
eg /var/log/xen/pv-console-<name>.log and allow logrotate to send it
signals to close and reopen the logfiles so that they can be managed and
don't grow to ridiculous sizes.

Thanks

James
