[Fwd: Re: [Xen-users] New to Xen]

Moderator Please ask all to close this thread

I attach my mail, I sent To Dettenbach to please stay out of this thread so that it can become civil.
More I cannot do.

He obviously want more beef after I asked him kindly in a private mail just to stay out of it.
He is getting willful in my opinion.

Let's close the thread as I received all the information I needed.

You misunderstand my question at least in part.
I never suggested installing anything else than linux  in DOM0.

No problem, as it has already been answered by the author.

Please let's just stay out of each other's threads to risk repetition of acrimony.
Deal?

Thanks

Your document seems to suggest (but do not mention) that PV would be
fine for unmodified Linux guest but that any other operating system
needs be modified.
Is that correct?

No,
PV is only possible with operating systems that provide PV DomU functionality
/ hooks / drivers - i.e. Linux, NetBSD (may be Solaris? never tried that) with
Xen (PV) support in kernel.

cheers,

Niels.
