Ideally, I'd like to be able to do some more interesting things that require having Mac OS as a domU.  I agree that you are utterly correct about virtualbox and parallels being the best way in general to get *nix VMs running on a Mac though.

If anyone has experience or wants to get their hands dirty on this, I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun once it's working :)
