I can confirm that the patch fixes the problem, I can boot without
setting dom0_ram=1024M

My system is Supermicro X9DRL-3/IF with 2 x E5-2640 Xeon's and 32gb
RAM (8 x Hynix Semiconductor HMT351R7CFR8C) BIOS 1.0a
