I cannot help with this particular model (P9X79 WS), but VT-d works fine on Asus Rampage IV Extreme/Formula with i7-3930K. I've only tested VT-d on Parallels Workstation 6 Extreme (VGA pass-through using Quadro FX1800/3800) but it should work on Xen as well.

Also Asrock X79 Extreme11 supports VT-d.
