From the remainder of your question it sounds as if you are actually
thinking of using XenServer, which is a particular form of Xen. That
being the case you would be best off asking your question on the
appropriate xenserver.org list.

This list deals with usage of the "upstream" Xen which comes direct from
xenproject.org (and e.g. uses the xl toolstack, not xapi which is used
by XenServer), if that is what you want to use then I suggest using your
distro's packages, wiki.xenproject.org has Category pages for many large
distros with links to specific guides.
