Is it possible to have a functioning scroll wheel? I decided to give Xen a try
because I heard it has better isolation than Virtualbox. So far I like it a lot
but the one issue making me consider going back to Virtualbox is the poor mouse
support. In my paravirtualized Ubuntu guest the mouse only has three working
buttons and no scroll wheel. I can live without forward and back buttons but
not having a scroll wheel is a big inconvenience.

Another mouse related problem is that my cursor blinks in and out when I love
the mouse up or down. Half of the cursor will be rendered and the other half
invisible. If I move the mouse very slowly this doesn't happen, but if I move
it very quickly the cursor almost entirely disappears. I thought this might be
a problem with my desktop environment but it is persistent with several that I
have tested so far.

The cursor is also very choppy when moved around, it doesn't have any
smoothness to it. I can live with this but it will be hard to live without a
scroll wheel and also hard to live with a blinking/flickering cursor.

I have never used Xen before so I don't know if it is normal for any of these
things to happen. I also don't know how I can fix these problems if it is
possible to. Everything is working fine and I am liking Xen, the only area I am
having problems with is with the mouse.
