Hi,

I have posted the following in the Q/A Forum and was adviced there to post it also to this mailing list.

I have setup a xen system for the first time in the following configuration:

Ubuntu 14.10 Dom0, clean, only xen-stuff installed on top

- Ubuntu 14.10 DomU
- Windows 8.1. DomU (for testing purposes only)
- Windows Server 2012 DomU

I have a running Bridge-Configuration (xenbr0) as found in the different tutorials. My /etc/network/interfaces is this:

http://paste.ubuntu.com/9264693/

The network works super as long as there are no DomUs running.

ifconfig and route outputs:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/9264733/
http://paste.ubuntu.com/9264740/

Running then the Ubuntu-Guest (PV) is also fine. A new interface is added, but thats normal.

After running the WIndows8-DomU (HVM) it looks like this, also still working:

http://paste.ubuntu.com/9264912/

However, when I start the Windows Server HVM the problem starts. I suspect it is because this machine has a running DHCP server, so it seems to assign an IP to the VIF-Interface which is then also added into the routing table as default IF. After that the network does not fully work any more (obviously with 2 default routes like this). But how can I prevent this from happening?
