One useful tactic for checking this is to do for each of the two entries
in the list:

        xl -N block-attach 0 '<SPEC>'
e.g.
        xl -N block-attach 0 'phy:/dev/vg0/win71,hda,w'

which will dump the result of parsing the spec (as json which is
reasonably readable), allowing you to check it did what you expect
