Hi,

I have troubles building the latest xen release (tag: RELEASE-4.4.2) and
I get the following error message:
easiest thing is probably to do "find -type -d -name \*-dir-remote" and
blow away those subtrees, then they will be recloned on the next build
attempt.
that did the trick.

Lessons learned:
- "git clean -f -d -x" does not delete nested repositories
- unfortunately git v1.7.10 does not even mention the skipped directories, when not run in dry-run mode - "make distclean" would have helped, too im my situation. It only leaves "tools/firmware/seabios-dir-remote/" left in my.

As far as I understand the makefiel syntax, the targets "clean" and "distclean" in "tools/firmware/Makefile" are broken"

Thank you Ian.
Compile now works fine again

Kind Regards
Patrick
