Please could you try the stable-4.5 branch from git, there are some
commits there which look like they might help.

If that doesn't help then please could you try the master branch, since
there seem to be even more patches there which might help, in which case
we should backport them for 4.5.1.

If even the master branch is still broken then we should try and fix
that, so that we can backport the fix.

NB: Fix here might mean "detect broken systemd and therefore fail
gracefully with configure --enable-systemd", or it might mean detect
compat vs non-compat systemd installs.

BTW, if you omit --enable-systemd then you will get the sysvinit scripts
but systemd is supposed to be fully compatible with those.
