In general IIRC such stall messages are accompanied by a stack trace and
some other information? Depending on your domU kernel console log level
they may only be ending up in "dmesg" and not on the actual console.

You may want to remove "quiet" from the guest kernel command line, and
perhaps replace by "debug".
