[Xen-users] Xen PV boot "hangs" on sysklogd + apache

Hiho,

may be someone of you has some idea or experience with this "crazy" effect.

When starting a PV VM (Linux) it boots weel, as long as there is no Apache or
sysklogd to start, which leads to hang then.

If i boot into the PV (by going over that daemons) and start sysklogd, it
seems to start correctly, but the init script could not exit.

The same PV VMs wboot and work well on the old system.

Same happens with different newer and older DomU kernels - so i assume this is
related to anywhere in:

        - dom0 kernel config
        - XEN HV / dom0 setup

it seems, Debian had a similiar "Bug" within their Dom0 too in the past - no
idea how far this may be related:
https://serverfault.com/questions/674543/kjournald-and-apache2-hang-on-xen-vps

Possibly someone has an idea about, a same experience or know what is wrong
(any kernel config option)?

tech specs:
=========
My new - self build - setup of XEN 4.7.2 (4.8.1-r1 seems not build) with Gentoo
Linux dom0 should take over PV guests from an older machine with older XEN -
anything compiled with GCC 5.4.0 (hardened) an AMD64 / core-avx-i.

system is a HP DL580 G8 with 2*6 Core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7-4809 v2 @ 1.90GHz.

Linux dom0 Kernel: 4.11.4
