Hello, I have a problem with passed pci devices in pv domUs. When I restart the vm, the pci devices disappear. After a complete shutdown and start of the domU the pci devices are functional again. I found a very old redhat thread about a similar problem. (PCI devices disappear in Xen Paravirtual DomU on reboot/reset https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=233801) My Xen version is 4.10.0 with a 4.16.8 dom0 kernel. The restart problem is new, but I don't know how long. Maybe since the upgrade to 4.10, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have an idea or a hint where I could look for a solution. Could it be a communication problem with the xenstored? host : stargate release : 4.16.8-gentoo version : #1 SMP Wed May 9 15:43:54 CEST 2018 machine : x86_64 nr_cpus : 12 max_cpu_id : 11 nr_nodes : 1 cores_per_socket : 6 threads_per_core : 2 cpu_mhz : 2593 hw_caps : bfebfbff:77bee3ff:2c100800:00000001:00000001:00000281:00000000:00000100 virt_caps : hvm hvm_directio total_memory : 65471 free_memory : 51818 sharing_freed_memory : 0 sharing_used_memory : 0 outstanding_claims : 0 free_cpus : 0 xen_major : 4 xen_minor : 10 xen_extra : .0 xen_version : 4.10.0 xen_caps : xen-3.0-x86_64 xen-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_32 hvm-3.0-x86_32p hvm-3.0-x86_64 xen_scheduler : credit xen_pagesize : 4096 platform_params : virt_start=0xffff800000000000 xen_changeset : xen_commandline : placeholder cpuidle dom0_mem=8G,max:8G dom0_max_vcpus=2 dom0_vcpus_pin cpufreq=xen:ondemand loglvl=warning guest_loglvl=warning tmem=1 tmem_compress=1 com1=115200,8n1,pci console=com1,vga cc_compiler : x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc (Gentoo 7.3.0-r1 p1.1) 7.3.0 cc_compile_by : cc_compile_domain : mydom.local cc_compile_date : Sat Mar 24 12:38:39 CET 2018 build_id : a9306119e80e90fe902e182e8b5590a61ed0119b xend_config_format : 4 Thanks for the help and all the best Thorsten _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.xenproject.org/mailman/listinfo/xen-users
