The command line I am using is: /usr/bin/xen-create-image --hostname=somehost.com --ip=10.0.0.44 \ --memory=2Gb --genpass=1 --size=32Gb --pygrub --swap=2Gb \ --role=udev,cz-stretch --dist=stretch --arch=amd64 I was getting exactly the same behavior on the Ubuntu 18.04 system, i.e. domu's crash on boot. What should I try? I have been able to build a buster domu on the 16.04 system, but there appears to be some entropy problems with it. I have to wait several minutes after bootimg the domu before it will accept logins. Once I see the following message on the console I am able to login. [ 207.744797] random: crng init done [ 207.744814] random: 7 urandom warning(s) missed due to ratelimiting This appears to be a problem with newer kernels. Just added extra = 'elevator=noop pti=off' to the cfg for the domu's and they boot cleanly now.
