Re: [Xen-API] Status of "xsconsole" on XCP-XAPI?

Hi James,

Thanks so much for the help.  Following your instructions, I managed to get "xsconsole" installed.  I haven't had a chance to test all the features yet, but so far, so good.

Thanks again.  Much appreciated!

Best regards,

Hi GizmoChicken,

Take a look at https://github.com/jamesbulpin/xsconsole - you should be able to clone this then type "make install-base" in the tree to install. Then run "xsconsole" from a shell.

It's got some basic fixes to make it work on Ubuntu as well as the XCP and XenServer appliances however YMMV with some of the features, e.g. where Ubuntu+XCP-XAPI doesn't have the same system-level capabilities as the XCP/XS appliances.

Any feedback and patches would be welcomed.

Eventually we'll get this properly generalised and packaged but as Mike says there are other higher priority things ahead of it.

Cheers,
James
