All The best I can tell, this is what's going on when I try to bring up Dom0. It's failing on the BUG_ON(sidx>=eidx); test om reserve_bootmem_core in mm/bootmem.c(line 92) {It shows up at line 93 in my code because I have added a printk} That's happening because the size parameter in the fuction is e811ffd0, which is a really massive number. It's getting that number from smp_scan_config in arch/xen/i386/kernel/mpparse.c (line 767). //printed in smp_scan_config End=20000000, size=e811ffd0, max_low_pfn=20000, mpf->mpf_physptr=37ee0030 //printed in reserve_bootmem_core Addr=37ee0030, bdata->node_boot_start=0, size=e811ffd0, PAGE_SIZE=4096 sidx=229088, eidx=131072, end=131072 When I was looking at the values in smp_scan_config, I noticed that the mpf->mpf_physptr value is 37ee0030. Isn't this a bit high? This seems to be the cause of the problems. So, does Xen present Dom0 with an MP table? Is this is low or high memory? Or does Xen just point Dom0 at the system MP table? Looking further up the serial output, I find that Xen found it's mp_table at 000f8730 (XEN) found SMP MP-table at 000f8730 I have attached the serial output at the end. I am unsure as to how to proceed with the debugging.
