Jan This seems okay to me in principle. If it's cleaned up a bit then there's no reason not to take it -- and getting out of 80x25 mode is very desirable! A few thoughts: * Could we put all the vga-related stuff in drivers/char/vga* Also move the existing vga-specific code into its own file in drivers/char/vga * Are the vga files you add pulled from some other project (svgalib)?
