Re: [Xen-devel] Re: [Xen-users] Re: xenoprof error
Renato and all,
I had posted this error in oprofile list. This was an issue in oprofile 0.9.2 which was corrected in oprofile 0.9.3. I have used xenoprof patch for both 0.9.2 and 0.9.3. I still see this error in xenoprof whereas with oprofile 0.9.3 I don't see this error- oprofile 0.9.3 works fine.
I had used xenoprof some months back. That time i used RHEL 4 and I didn't see this error previously.

John,
This does not seem to be an xenoprof problem, but a
general oprofile error.
It seems you are not being able to write to oprofilefs
for some reason.
You should see several files under /dev/oprofile after
you execute any opcontrol command for the first time (e.g. opcontrol
--reset).

Renato
Is there a xenoprof developer who can help me ?

Hi
John,
I don't think you provided the list with enough information.
How did you get to this point? What did you install etc.? For example I
don't have a opcontrol file that I am aware of.
I don't have much
experience with xenoprof either. Could you provide links or packages and a
litlle more background into the problem?
Best

oprofile 0.9.2. Also, when i run"opreport -l" I get segmentation fault.
Running "opreport" works correctly. Any help will be great. I am
