I got it. dom0 is just a domain, so it should not see _some_ features. This is
reasonable.
Actually, I am trying creating a hvm domain to install debian4 with an ISO file
installer.
I thought maybe the reason is that dom0 is not configured with vmx feature.
According to your explanation, I was wrong.
But what is the real problem?
The system is xen-3.3.0 + dom0 generic pv kernel 2.6.18.8 with gnome.
After I entered command: xm create dom.hvm.conf, the console outputs:

Using config file "./dom.hvm.conf".
Started domain dom3

Nothing else happened thereafter. I really don't know what is wrong and what I
should do.

My hvm configuration is:

import os, re
arch = os.uname()[4]
if re.search('64', arch):
    arch_libdir = 'lib64'
else:
    arch_libdir = 'lib'
kernel = "/usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader"
builder='hvm'
memory = 512
name = "dom3"
vcpus=1
vif = [ 'type=ioemu' ]
disk = [ 'phy:sdb9,hda,w',
'file:/xen/dom3/debian-40r5-i386-netinst.iso,hdc:cdrom,r' ]
device_model = '/usr/' + arch_libdir + '/xen/bin/qemu-dm'
sdl=1
opengl=1
vnc=1
vncpasswd=''
stdvga=0
serial='pty'

Thanks in advance,
Shawn
