Hello Mark,

There is already a fix for the reset hang that was introduced in 2.6.32.26 
(which seems to be used for the debian 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 kernel.
It is send for inclusion in the next stable kernel as well, but perhaps ask the 
debian guys to apply that patch
