[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-devel] problems about the drives update.
Hi all, These days,we've updated many Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 Drives to 2.0.8e on xen kernel. In order to making the updates successful,we have no idea but to reboot the system. As on the physical system,we update the drives in this way successfully: updates, rmmod, depmod, modprobe it may just a few seconds cut off the net. But on a xen,if we rmmod, the net won't recover until rebooting the physical server. But we have many inportant services on the xen kernel system. If we reboot the xen server,it will take a few minutes, and one physical server has many xens on it. It will cost so much. How can I avoid rebooting the server,at the same time, make the drives update successful on xen kernel?
