Well then that watch mechanism is broken, at least for values written before some point in time:

# xenstore-ls -f /local/domain/10
[...]
/local/domain/10/control/shutdown = "poweroff"
[...]

But the domain doesn't shut down.

Konrad, sorry to keep sending stuff your way, but I'm not sure who else to bring in for this one. The original thread is here:

But the problem actually has nothing to do with ACPI -- it's the PV shutdown command that is getting lost after the driver registers HVM_PARAM_CALLBACK_IRQ but before something else comes up that starts watching ../control/shutdown.
