Just a silly procedural note but it is useful to include a version
number in the $subject, e.g. [PATCH v2]. git send-email --reroll-count=2
will do that for you for the patches themselves. Otherwise v3 ends up as
"Yet another new ..." or something ;-)

If you could CC the maintainers too then that would be great. pipe the
patch to "./scripts/get_maintainer.pl" and it will tell you who.

I'm going to go check that
