Andrew's patch may end up being a prereq to the full fix, but this looks to not be entirely clear yet at this point. (I'm having a hard time seeing a fair solution without this change.) > 2. According to my list it's AMD/IOMMU: re-work mode updating [regression] build: provide option to disambiguate symbol names [issue] x86/vmx: always sync PIR to IRR before vmentry [issue] The last one, according to my records, will need at least one more revision. Andrew did also indicate he'd see "x86: explicitly disallow guest access to PPIN" as something that should go in for 4.13, but there looks to have been too little attention/progress there. > 4.
