Well, I think I fixed it... As mentioned, I moved the ports in /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp from 8000 (http) and 8001 (events) to 8003 and 8004. I had Shoutcast set up on this machine, and it was using port 8000, hence the move. I shut off Shoutcast and moved the ports back to defaults, stopped and started the services, and 'xm list' now works! Any clue as to why moving the ports would cause things to break?
