If support for your RAID card or the root filesystem is built as a
module, you will have to either build it into the kernel (see below) or
make an initrd and add it to your GRUB config as a second *module*, not
using the initrd command in GRUB. You create an initrd the usual way,
using 'mkinitrd 2.6.12-xen0'.

As described in the README, you can cd into the linux-2.6.12-xen0
directory in the source tree and 'make ARCH=xen menuconfig'. With the
options for building a dom0 kernel turned on (which they should be
already) the config is very similar to the standard kernel
configuration.
