Hi there,

I tried to get the VTPM running in my Xen 3.0 installation, but it doesn't seem to work so far.

My system:

- xen-unstable 3.0 build from source, downloaded in Jan 06

- Fedora Core 3 on host and guests

- bridge-utils 1.0.6

- gmp-4.1.4

I don't have a TPM chip onboard, so I use the TPM emulator that is delivered in the source of xen-unstable. The patches are all applied and the emulator seems to be alright, a device is installed as /dev/tpm0.

Now I launch the vtpm_managerd and it initializes fine until it then says:

"ERROR[VTPM]: [1] Can't open inbound fh for /dev/tpm0."

I found a similar thread on http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2005-09/msg00796.html but no answer.

When I start my guest domain the xend log files don't show any errors and say that "The domain has a TPM with instance 2 and devid 0."

Can anybody help me to get the VTPM working?

Thanks,

Anna
