Hi,

The Intel Processor Identification Utility is used to check your intel processor, so get it form www.intel.com

or you can view the processor number details from http://www.intel.com/products/processor_number/index_view_pentium_m.htm

There is no VT technology in most of the Intel processor except Petium 662, 672 and Xeon series in my view

Hi All.
I though it might be of use to get supported chips all on one thread. It's an itch: I am scratching.
The list so far..

Out of the Box Intel. All below are dual core.

Pentium Extreme 955
Pentium D 950, 940, 930, 920

With Bios Update.
Paxville MP Xeon Quad Socket 7000 Series Dual Core

Celeron D ?

AMD ?

True of the two socket Xeons...

The Paxville MP Xeon used in quad socket boxes does support VT.

These are the 7000 series Dual Core processors. Of course, you need an
updated BIOS as well.

Hello All
I have been lurking on this list for some time...

I just spoke to Intel about VT enabled chips. Here is the list
Pentium Extreme 955
Pentium D 950, 940, 930, 920

Xeons are not supported

Hmm I don't find any VMX option... So, doesn't support it?

is it a Xeon-processor?

If so probably it is not supported because the first Xeon that

supports

VT will be the Dempsey in the Bensley-plattform which is not yet available!
