[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-users] Installing Fedora domU from a Debian dom0
Hi, What's the easiest way to install a Fedora 8 domU from a Debian dom0? As far as I am aware, rpmstrap is unmaintained now and stopped being able to install Fedora somewhere around FC6? The procedure I use for Centos is here: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/InstallingCentOSDomU That doesn't work for Fedora though; the initial install kernel doesn't seem to want to boot. I have heard somewhere that this kernel can only function as dom0. The Fedora docs: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Fedora8VirtQuickStart only cover using virt-install, virt-manager or something called cobbler & koan. I haven't yet investigated installing any of that on Debian (if it is indeed possible) as I would rather not install a mass of dependencies just to manage one domU OS. How does everyone else do it? Cheers, Andy Attachment:
