In the mean time, I know that many are working on adding external support for Xen in EL6. I'm not sure what the current state is, but I do believe the most recent focus has been restoring dom0 support for the Fedora 16 release. Once that is finalized, I'd not be surprised to see the attention return to getting working RPMs for EL6 in CentOS.I thought they dropped Xen because they purchased KVM from Qumranet, and are investing in that platform instead of Xen. In that case I would be surprised to see Xen ever returning to RHEL (unless they decide to drop KVM in the future for whatever reasons). Am I missing something here? As I understand it, KVM gave them the same capabilities for less overhead. Simple business math. I really don't think there was any animosity in the decision, and I don't see why they wouldn't restore support if it can be done within a fair budget and there is sufficient demand (as I suspect there is). In the end though, this is my conjecture only based on watching the two hypervisors over the last couple of years. -- Digimer E-Mail: digimer@xxxxxxxxxxx Freenode handle: digimer Papers and Projects: http://alteeve.com Node Assassin: http://nodeassassin.org "At what point did we forget that the Space Shuttle was, essentially, a program that strapped human beings to an explosion and tried to stab through the sky with fire and math?" _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
