A simple text file under docs/misc would be fine, with a reference from
the appropriate place in docs/misc/xen-command-line.markdown.

The file can either be *.txt or you can do *.markdown which is a
simple .txt like markup language
(http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/)

In either case the result will be shipped with Xen and installed
into /usr/doc as well as automatically published at
http://xenbits.xen.org/docs/unstable/misc/index.html (from where wiki
pages can link as necessary etc).

BTW, WRT the wiki: FWIW we use mediawiki so the syntax is the same as
the gentoo wiki, I think, although I think wanting to ship it with Xen
is a good enough reason to go the docs/misc route.

Eventually the docs should cover both mechanisms I think, so documenting
the ones supported in 4.3 would be a good starting point.

I'm a big fan of adding some documentation, even if it is incomplete,
since the "activation energy" for updating or extending a doc tends to
be lower than that needed to write it.

A section header for the prepended method with just "TBD" in it would be
fine. One of us should then remember to add it to
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Document_Days/TODO.

Ian.
