I am not sure what you mean by not getting by the splash screen. When you logged in via ssh, could you tell if X was running? On Arch, X doesn't
auto detect properly with the catalyst driver. As far as I can tell, this is not a Xen issue, but rather a Catalyst/X issue. On Arch I need to run "aticonfig --initial" in order to create an xorg.conf file.
