sorry for the delay.  i deleted my logs and had to wait for the
error to occur again.  i caught the output for you.

xl create <hostname.cfg> said this:

got a tsc mode string: "default"

i ran the command a second time, and it ran ok:

Parsing config from hostname.cfg
got a tsc mode string: "default"


/var/log/xen/xl-hostname.log.1 ended with this:

Domain 41 has shut down, reason code 0 0x0
Action for shutdown reason code 0 is destroy
Domain 41 needs to be cleaned up: destroying the domain
