sorry for the delay,

each tested domU has just one volume (on Linux LVM2) .
...here is one domU config as a example.

I played around with:
 - tried to boot with just one netif and
 - without IPv6 in domU

--- snip ---
#kernel="/xenkernels/vmlinuz-2.6.34-xen-r4-syn-tmpfs"
kernel="/xenkernels/vmlinuz-4.11.4-synd-domU"
memory=1024
name="mon"
disk=[
        'phy:/dev/vgxen/mon_root,sda1,w',
        'phy:/dev/vgxen/mon_swap,sda2,w',
]
root="/dev/xvda1 ro"

#extra = "gentoo=nodevfs console=xvc0 raid=noautodetect"
extra="console=hvc0 xencons=tty"
vif = [ 'mac=00:0C:6E:40:58:B2, bridge=xenbr0, vifname=mon0' ,
        'mac=00:0C:7E:4B:3A:F9, bridge=xenint0, vifname=monint0' ]
vcpus=1
cpu="4,13-15"

# These users may control this instance.
xen_shell = "niels"
xen_shell_blacklist = "top"
--- snap ---

/etc/inittab is
--- snip ---
# TERMINALS
c1:12345:respawn:sbin/agetty 38400 hvc0 linux
--- snap ---

Xen dom0 networking is bridged on openvswitch (two bridges/switches for
frontend and backend).

many thanks for your time,

Niels.
