[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-devel] New Xen 2.0 'final' release candidate
Folks, The current xen-2.0 tar ball and bk repo is hopefully going to be the final before the official release announcement -- unless any of you find any show-stopping bugs ;-) The repository has undergone a small reorganisation that's worth being aware of: all the binaries produced by the build now go in ./dist/install rather than ./install as before. If you had external links into ./install you'll need to adjust them otherwise you'll carry on booting your old kernels! There's also been a few changes to the build system. Using 'make dist' (or just plain 'make') should do the right thing under most circumstances. If you want to rebuild everything from scratch use 'make world'. If you look at the top-level Makefile you can set the KERNELS variable to control which Linux/NetBSD kernels get built. You can also build arch-xen patches using the 'make mkpatches' target. Over the last few days we've also put some serious effort into the user manual, which you can view in either html or pdf. There's also the beginnings of a new FAQ. We'd be grateful if you could test and provide feedback ASAP.
