hi.

does xen provide infrastructure for switching MSR state between
different guests?

i'm particularly thinking about hardware performance counters, but there
may be additional ones, e.g. tsc (questionable, since not guaranteed to
be writeable), debug extensions,...

are there any opinions or have there be decisions regarding access to
performance counters in unprivileged guests at all? i'm aware of
DOM0_MSR for privileged ones, but haven't found much beyond that, yet.

regards,
daniel
