Ok :-)

Well, this:

...
physical idÂÂÂÂÂ: 0
siblingsÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 16
core idÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 0
cpu coresÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 8
...
physical idÂÂÂÂÂ: 0
siblingsÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 16
core idÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 0
cpu coresÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 8
...
physical idÂÂÂÂÂ: 0
siblingsÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 16
core idÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 1
cpu coresÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ: 8
...
[etc]

And this:

cat /proc/sys/kernel/sched_domain/cpu*/domain*/names
SMT
MC
SMT
MC
SMT
MC
SMT
MC
[etc]

Makes me think that the patch are doing their job, and that the OS is
correctly seeing a multicore, SMT-enabled topology.

Good work on that! ;-)

Thanks and Regards,
Dario
